Tibet 2005

Since the summer of 2001 I came to China every year for studying, traveling or working. Tibet was one of the few places that I had not managed to visit and one of the most attractive. The occasion appeared in summer of 2005.

Tibet is a place as no another. All you find here: altitude, landscape, people, culture.. have nothing to do either with China or with any other country. After visiting Lhasa and its surroundings we set of on a long, rough trip to the mount Kailash , a pole of pilgrimage in the west of the plateau. The road towards Kailash passes through some remote areas where the traveler can take a glance at the nomadic life of shepherds and pilgrims.
