Morocco 2003

The following pictures were shot during a three week trip in Morocco in the summer of 2003.

The population of Morocco is mainly Moslem and cameras are usually not welcome for religious reasons. That is why in this reportage pictures of places predominate over portraits.

The journey starts in Marrakech, the southern capital. The heart of the old city and the center of the life in the medina, is Djema the Fnaa square. This square is a hotbed of people that changes with the time of the day and reaches its peak of activity at sunset.
